Verse: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)
God is not only interested in what we do ourselves but the example we set for others. It is important that as we travel through our Christian walk that we stop to help others along their way. We must be careful what we condone and how we influence others, for God will hold us accountable for our actions.
There are reasons why God gave us commandments. Just as earthly parents are to watch out for their children, God watches out for us. When He tells us to do something or not to do something, it is for our good and the good of others around us. When we disobey God (sin) we set ourselves and others around us up for heartache. The world is filled with evil because of individuals who selfishly choose to do things their way instead of Gods.
Prayer: Dear Lord - Help us to be obedient to you for it is through our obedience that we show our love and devotion. Please help us to be careful with how we live our lives and help us to be a good example to others. In Jesus name, Amen.
