God permits evil in the world simply because He permits free will. If a person has the choice to obey or disobey Him (God) than there is always the possibility that they will choose to disobey. This disobedience is called sin and when chosen will always bring negative consequences. You see your wrong choices will not only affect your life but the lives of those around you. So then why doesn't God take away free will? If He was to remove our ability to make our own choices than we would never choose to love Him or have fellowship with Him. It would not be a spontaneous response but a programmed one. God desires more than anything to have daily fellowship with us, but it must be our choice. This relationship with the Father was what we were created for and without it we feel incomplete and unsatisfied.
